Measures in Consideration of Covid-19
The Fraumünster Church is open for prayer and individual visits. From Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. On Holidays and Sundays the Church is open after the Church service (generally from 1 p.m to 5 p.m.). The opening hours are indicated next to the main entrance at the end of Poststrasse.
Wearing a facemask is mandatory. Please keep your distance and do not touch the items in the shop unnecessarily. The Crypt Museum and the „Marienkapelle“ are closed until February 28th.
Until February 28th Group Visits and Guided Tours are not possible. The shop is closed on Sundays.
Rules to observe in the Church Interior
Please keep calm in the church aerea. No food and drinks are permitted. Dogs and other animals have to wait outside. The clothing should be adequate to the sacral building.
Entry and Information Fee (valid for regular operation)
An entry fee of 5 Swiss francs/euros/dollars has to be paid for sigthseeing and information. Included in the price is an audioguide or an illustrated leaflet (both available in 8 languages).
No deposit is required for using our audioguides. They can be returned at the exit of the church next to the shop.
With the Fraumünster entrance ticket you will get a reduction of five francs for the entrance to the Marc Chagall Collection in the Kunsthaus Museum.
Admission is free for young people up to 16 years, as well as students and trainees.
Admission is also free for people who seek privacy or rest and meditation. For repeated visits of the church, visitors may receive a personal visitors`card.
Accredited Guides
Accredited guides are persons who have been qualified by the Fraumünster or Grossmünster churches. Interested guides can apply under besucher@fraumuenster.ch. Guides who become accredited for the two churches will receive a personal ID card.
